Retrieving the registration form: Visit the SP-CNRA office to collect the initial registration form, fill it out, and submit it on the registration day, which takes place every Tuesday.
Submitting the asylum or stateless status application: The application file must include: the duly completed initial registration form (Mandatory); a handwritten asylum request addressed to the Permanent Secretary of the CNRA; photocopies of identity documents such as a national ID card or passport, and any documents related to the asylum request itself (photographs, letters, newspaper clippings, etc.). It should be noted that when submitting the application, the asylum seeker or stateless status applicant must appear in person at the SP-CNRA with all family members present in Benin for individual photographs to establish the asylum or stateless status application certificate. Asylum seekers and stateless status applicants are systematically referred to a social worker for profiling.
After registration, an appointment is scheduled for the interview, and an asylum seeker or stateless status application certificate valid for six renewable months is issued.
